Tucked away in the in the gentle rolling hills of southern Granite Bay, Otow Orchards is a steadfastly rustic family farm selling persimmons, mandarins and whatever else is in-season and local. You'll find an interesting and large variety of permissions and persimmon products, including the painstakingly made Hoshigaki, or dried persimmon. In addition to the more typical Fuyus, you might find Hachiya, Chocolate, or Vodka Persimmons, varieties of pomegranates and honey from bees raised at the orchard.
They sell peaches, plums and other tree fruit from their own large orchard, and also from other local growers, so it's always interesting to stop in and see what they have to offer. You might find meyer lemons from Lupi Farms, fresh eggs from Two Feather Farm, or satsuma mandarins from Pleasant Hill Farms depending on the day and time of year.
