Dono Dal Cielo is an estate vineyard nestled in the warm rolling foothills of Newcastle. Taste award winning wines in a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere, either in the spacious barn or out on the patio overlooking the vineyards and farm. Saturdays often feature live music and food trucks, and occasionally local vendors will be invited to show their products.
Expect a Viognier and Rose on the tasting menu, along with several Zins and finishing up with a Petite Sirah and sweet late-harvest wine. Their 2018 Pitite Sirah recently won a gold medal, with the 2018 Hummingbird Zinfandel and 2019 Viognier winning silvers from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. They also offer wine by the glass and bottle.
Limited outdoor seating on the grass, but you’re welcome to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. There are a few picnic tables to enjoy any food you bring, and there’s ample seating on the patio. Your well-behaved dogs are welcome too!
The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday from 12-5pm, and they can accommodate parties of 10 or more if you call ahead. Check out their website for more information.
